My Brave Angel

She is QiaoYi, my little sweetie...comes 31/8 is full 2 years since her last burn accident on 31/08/2008, she was only six then.
Qiaoyi has walked through the journey of her recovery with pain, strenght and courage. Though it is impossible to have her scars completely healed, we are thankful that we did not give up hope when we were faced with doubts and uncertainty in her treatment process.
QiaoYi 's braving spirit is something that I am admired most until today. She was fully awared of the pains of each treatment she needed to go through and yet she did not back off, instead she proceeded with all the scheduled treatments bravely. She is no longer required to go through the injection treatment since early this year as her doctor has found the scars progressed positively and it is now under periodical observation.
We thank God for the blessing and the guidance given to us during this period of time. We are happy that Qiaoyi has grown up to be a sweet, joyous and cheecky angel.
Somehow the scars and marks would always remind us of the pains she went through...
Just love her...very much !!

NEVER GIVE UP...GOD IS GOOD !

It has been quite sometimes since I last wrote about Qiaoyi's scar treatment. Qiaoyi has so far gone through 15 times of injection, the latest being 3 weeks ago.

We took her to the medical centre for check up this morning. It was such a wonderful morning for us as the doctor finally advised us that Qiaoyi does not need further injection for the time being since the scars have been flattened and softened quite satisfactory though not completely, which is impossible for this type of condition. However, we are required to monitor the scars closely as the chances of recurrence is there.

We were in such a joyous mood upon hearing the news. Instead of thanking the doctor, we were actually wishing him ' Happy Chinese New Year ' !!

I praised God for this, for He has given us strength and patience to wait for this moment of joy. We are grateful that we did not give up on the treatments for Qiaoyi at times when the treatment did not look so promising. We have faced many trials, denials during this process of treatment ( about 17 months plus ) and the thought of giving up kept haunting us...and thank God, we did not give up after all !

Qiaoyi has been very brave and co-operative in all the treatments she went through from the day she got the burn. For this, praises must go to her and her fighting spirit ! We love her, and we adore her....
